About

It all started with a simple act of kindness in 2012.

Like many people who enjoy making jewelry, Sue Thomas occasionally gave away some items she created. At Christmas, she gave a box of her jewelry to her sister-in-law Bonnie who lived in a residence for low income seniors in Toledo, Ohio.

Bonnie shared the presents with other women at the residence, bringing big smiles to many who received little else during the holiday season. The stories of joy and gratitude from this experience sparked the idea for Jewelry Angels.

Jewelry Angels launched in the summer of 2018. The scope has already expanded beyond making jewelry for low-income senior housing residents. Almost immediately a Parkinson's support group picked up the idea and held a jewelry-making party.

New ideas are always welcome!  Please contact our founder by clicking the link below to start an email.
